IASI covers the continuous spectral range of 3.6 - 15.5 µm. When calculating an SBAF for any SRF that extends below 3.6 µm, the IASI spectrum is extrapolated toward lower wavelengths, using the Planck function, to account for the added range.
Imager-equivalent "pseudo" radiance values are in units of Wm-2 µm-1 sr-1. Pseudo brightness temperature (BT) values are in units of K.
